WHAT TO BRING |
As you are preparing for what we believe will be the finest mule
deer, antelope or elk hunting experience ever, I have put together a
list of items you might want to bring. We do not ask you to go out
and see how much money you can spend on new gear. Most of you can
make do with what you already own. Please bring the rifle that you
are most comfortable shooting; we prefer anything larger that a
.243. Most shots are between 100-300 yards. You should practice
shooting your rifle before you arrive. Be prepared to shoot from a
bipod or shooting sticks in sitting, kneeling or prone positions. We prefer you to practice shooting these ways to get used to them
and not relay on a shooting bench. All guns will have the barrels
pointed down in the guide’s vehicles & have no shells in the chamber
– NO EXCEPTIONS!
All Elk hunters
will be required to use our Gunwerks rifles with suppressors.

One item of orange I prefer an orange cap in WY but MT

Be prepared for all types of weather, it can be 10-80 degrees, hot
or cold, wet or dry, and rain or snow. These are just suggestions,
use your own judgement. We do not furnish alcohol, so if you wish
to drink, please bring your own.
NO DRINKING IS ALLOWED UNTIL YOU ARE FINISHED HUNTING
AT THE END OF THE DAY. I am concerned
about the welfare of my guides.
Our hunts are not drive-by hunts, they are physical hunts and will
require walking up and down steep terrain. Being in good
physical shape and able to walk a minimum of 100 yards is a must. ALL
animals must go to the locker plant to be processed; we will deliver
at no charge. Keep in mind, if you harvest an animal the last day of
your hunt, the locker plant will not be able to process your animal
until the next day. You may need to stay in town an extra day, have
it shipped home, quartered or deboned so you can take it, or the
other option is to donate it to the Food Pantry (you will be
responsible for the processing cost). We also have a very good
taxidermist locally, it you would like to leave your heads in our
care to be mounted.
We are looking forward to meeting you and making your dream hunt come
true. If you have any questions, please dont
hesitate to call. |
